Warranty Period

LEGG Windows & Doors warranties its windows and doors to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6 years from the date of purchase by the original consumer.

Warranty Coverage

LEGG Windows & Doors warrants that its windows and doors will be operational with normal use and maintenance for the duration of the warranty period. In the event that any defects occur in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, LEGG Windows & Doors will, at its option, repair or replace the defective product or part without charge.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover any product that has been altered, abused, misused, or damaged through improper installation, improper maintenance, improper use or any other cause not arising from defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty also does not cover any product on which the original identification labels or markings have been removed, altered or defaced, or any product that has been subject to abnormal conditions, exposure to the elements or abnormal stress beyond normal use and maintenance.

Installation Requirements

LEGG Windows & Doors takes great pride in the quality of its windows and doors and stands behind the workmanship that goes into every product it produces. However, it is important to note that improper installation of its windows and doors can greatly affect their performance, durability, and longevity.

As such, LEGG Windows & Doors' warranty does not cover any defects or malfunctions that result from improper installation. This includes, but is not limited to, installation that is not in accordance with LEGG Windows & Doors' instructions as well as the guidelines set out in the Australian Glass & Window Association installation manual, specifications, or guidelines, as well as installation that is performed by unqualified or untrained individuals.

Additionally, the warranty does not cover damage to the windows or doors that occurs during installation, such as scratches, cracks, or other cosmetic defects. It is the responsibility of the installer to handle the windows and doors with care and to ensure that they are installed correctly and in accordance with LEGG Windows & Doors' guidelines.

It is strongly recommended that consumers choose a professional, experienced, and qualified installer to install their LEGG Windows & Doors products, in order to ensure that they receive the full benefits of the warranty coverage.

Ownership of Windows & Doors

Lakes Entrance Glass & Glazing Pty Ltd retains ownership of all windows and doors supplied until full payment has been received from the consumer. LEGG Windows & Doors requires payment in full for all products supplied, including any related shipping and handling charges, before the products can be considered fully purchased and owned by the consumer. Until full payment has been received, LEGG Windows & Doors retains a purchase money security interest in the products supplied and the consumer agrees to execute such further documents as LEGG Windows & Doors may reasonably require to perfect its security interest. It is important to note that failure to make full payment for the windows and doors may result in LEGG Windows & Doors exercising its right to repossess the products.

Limitation of Liability

LEGG Windows & Doors will not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use of its windows and doors. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This Warranty is the Only Warranty

This warranty constitutes the only warranty provided by LEGG Windows & Doors in connection with its windows and doors and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
